About Proxy Earth

Proxy Earth is an independent site with free, honest tools for phone numbers in India. We built it after a site with a similar name exposed the personal data of millions of people.

What you can do here

Every tool answers a real question about a number, without touching anyone’s private data.

Mobile number lookupCheck if a number is valid, its type, first operator and formats. STD code finderFind the landline code of more than 2,600 Indian places. Mobile number series listSee which operator first issued a series. Country codes listCalling and exit codes for 245 countries. Check SIM cards in your nameA plain guide to the TAFCOP service.

How our tools work

Our number data comes from libphonenumber, the open-source numbering library Google maintains for Android. It is published under the Apache License 2.0. It covers numbering plans, operator blocks, landline areas and time zones for more than 200 countries.

The lookup runs inside your browser. The number you type is never sent to our server, so we could not keep it even if we wanted to. Read our privacy policy for the details.

What we will never do

  • Show the name, address, Aadhaar number or live location behind a number.
  • Buy, collect or publish leaked telecom or KYC records.
  • Ask you for an OTP, a password or payment.
  • Sell or share the numbers you check, because we never receive them.

Why the name Proxy Earth?

Many people search for “Proxy Earth” after hearing about proxyearth.org. That site and its Telegram bot showed names, addresses and Aadhaar numbers taken from leaked records. We are not connected to it in any way.

We chose to meet those searches with something safe. If you land here looking for a person’s details, you will find tools that respect privacy and a clear explanation of why those details should stay private.

How we check facts

We take rules and figures from official sources first. These include the Department of Telecommunications, Sanchar Saathi, TRAI and the Press Information Bureau. Each page shows when we last checked it. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.
